Background and Aims: In advanced management, human resources are the center of sustainable development. Safety climate is a term that describes a common vision of staff of how the safety management is used in the workplace. Safety climate referred to the perceived level of safety at a particular time and place. The importance of safety climate is concerned with its ability to predict the safety behavior. Based on this capability, safety climate will show its ability in important results of safety, such as risk perception, accidents and injuries. Employee risk perception of the existing job risks as a significant impact on their safety behavior at work. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between safety climate and employee risk perception one of the Iran oil refineries.Methods: This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study. The study population was employees in one of the oil refineries in Iran. The study population was employees in one of the oil refineries in Iran. Loughborough safety climate questionnaire and a Flin risk perception questionnaire was used. Data analysis was performed using SPSS22 software.Results: The relationship between safety climate and perception of risk was also getting signed (P-value < .0..1).Conclusion: The safety climate and perception of risk in the refinery staff is high. The results of this study present a profile of the safety climate situation and the perception of risk in the surveyed refinery, which can be used as a preventive indicator for providing and promoting policy and safety performance evaluation and of its results ,they use to improve organizations safety. While, evaluating the safety climate can be used as a way to measure the effectiveness of safety interventions in the workplace.
