چکیده مقاله:

In vibrations, models representing discrete linear system with lumped parameters may require considerable analytical and computational effort for systems with more than two degrees of freedom. In such circumstances, the use of software programs, such as MATLAB is essential in obtainingnumerical results in order to understand and predict system’s physical behavior. Our first attempt is to find the damped natural frequencies and the mode shapes of the damped system representing a Mercedes-AMG SLC-43 sports car. Hence, we found the governing system of differential equations which describe the bounce and pitch motions of the system using Lagrange’s Equations. Then we used MATLAB to do the algebra and find the characteristic roots, the natural frequencies, mode shapes, and mass and stiffness matrices. On the other hand, we calculated the displacements and accelerations of each shock absorber with inputs such as speed and step height
