چکیده مقاله:

Objective: The effects of some antibacterial and antifungal agents on the survival and biometry of Artemia urmiana were studied. Method & Materials: First, penicillin and streptomycin (50ppm), oxytetracycline (50ppm), formalin (60ppm) and malachite green (1ppm), were administered. Then, penicillin and streptomycin (60ppm), oxytetracycline (40ppm), formalin (20 and 30ppm) were used. These treatments were added to flacons include 200 nauplii. Each treatment was repeated four times. Biometry and survival on days 8th, 11th, 17th and 23rd were recorded. Results & Conclusion: At the end of first experimental stage, no significant positive effect of these agents were observed but at the end of second experimental stage it was shown that penicillin and streptomycin at the dose of 60 ppm had maximum survival and there was no significant effect on the biometry of Artemia.
