Objective: Chiloscyllium arabicum is an elasmobranche, distributed all over the Persian Gulf. Psuedanisakis sp. parasitizes mostly elasmobranches. It belongs to the family Anisakidae. The accurrate identification of the parasites and study their life cycle can lead to establish effective strategies to prevent their distribution and to conduct proper managing methods at the time of breaking out of such parasitic diseases. The aim of the present study was to report the occurrence of Psuedanisakis sp. In Chiloscyllium arabicum. Method & Materials: 4 sharks were examined according to standard methods after biometry done. Then the gastero-intestinal tract was washed in sift NO 100 and the contents were examined under the loop. Then, parasites were identified at the level of genus under the light microscope to the CIH keys after being cleared in lacto phenol. Results & Conclusion: The results of this research showed that all of the investigated sharks were heavily infected with Psuedanisakis sp. Based on previous studies, Psuedanisakis sp. were reporteded from 5 species of ray fish (genus Raja) in northwest coast of Spain and Rioraja agassizia and Psammobatis extenta in coast of Brazil. In this study, Psuedanisakis sp. is reported for the first time in the sharks of Persian Gulf
