چکیده مقاله:

Objective: To study the effects of Aquavac garvetil vaccine on the rainbow trout production factors such as growth, FCR and survival. Method & Materials: 2000 picces of fish at the same size were chosen from a fish-rising pool. This amount was divided into two groups of equal numbers of 1000 and these groups were transmitted to separate pools with the same environmental and management conditions. One pool was selected as experimental (vaccined) and another selected as the control (non vaccined) group. Once in 15 days all fishes were separately studied from the aspects of length, weight, survival, FCR and the amount of consumed food. Results & Conclusion: This research showed that, length, weight, survival and food consumption in the experimental group has increased but FCR has decreased and significant discrepancies were observed between the experimental and control groups in all productive factors (p<0.01). 1-Previous studies showed that because of drastic mortality as a result of streptococcusis, using the vaccine against it, showed positive effects on reducing the rate of the disease. 2-Some other studies showed that the application of streptococcusis vaccine increases the survival rate in the rainbow trout. 3-There were studies showing that growth in the experimental (vaccinated by streptococcusis vaccine) group has increased (p<0.05). Growth rate has improved because of the increase of nutrition in the experimental group. Mortality decrease in the experimental group as a result of increase in the immunity level and environmental stress factors reduction. In another word the survival rate is higher. Consumed food in fishes less exposed to stress is digested and absorbed better so FCR improves radically .
