چکیده مقاله:

Introduction & Aim: Breast cancer incidence and mortality is growing in developing countries. The aim of this study was to determine the pooled estimate of survival rate of breast cancer in EMRO region using Meta-analysis.Methods: This systematic review was searched based on international data bases PubMed/Medline,Scopus, ISI web of science and Google scholar from the beginning up to January 1st 2016. We used random effect model and we show pooled estimate by Forest plot. Publication bias was assessed using Egger and Begg s test. Also, Heterogeneity was assessed by Cochran’s Q statistic and I2 index and causes of heterogeneity were evaluated using meta-regression model. The Stata® Version 11 was used for all computations Results: In electronic database searching in international databank, 7103 records were retrieved and 28records identified through other sources, producing a total of 27 studies. The total numbers of 23067 subjects from 26 studies were analyzed. The one-year, three-year, five-year and ten-year survival rates were 93% (95% CI: 92-95), 79% (95% CI: 76-82), 0. 65.17 % (95% CI: 61.20-69.15), and 54% (95% CI: 45- 64), respectively. Multivariable meta-regression model indicated that five-year survival is lower in higher histopathological grade patients (β = -0.11, p = 0.56) and over 50 years old patients (β = -0.05, p = 0.38),but not statistically significant. Conclusion: The five and Ten year survival rate in this region was lower than in developed countries, So it seems screening program for early diagnosis and treatment should be necessary
