Epidemiology of Breast Cancer in Zahedan City

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women and The incidence rate of it in Iranian women is increasing . Despite the difference in the incidence of disease in different parts of the country , this study aimed at the prevalence of breast cancer in Zahedan . The case of breast cancer patients in Ali ibn Abtaleb Hospital in zahedan was reviewed from 90 to 96 years old and Information about age , chief complaint , gender, clinical symptoms , diagnosis and treatment of zero-level records was extracted and analyzed with spss21 software. Out of 198 patients with breast cancer , 96% of women and 4% of men and more patients were in the age range of 36-65 (79%) . The disease was associated with pulmonary tumors (9%) and brain tumors (7%) , and 63% of them recovered and 13% died . The results indicate an increase in the prevalence of breast cancer in Zahedan And is mostly seen in the 4th and 5th decades of life . Therefore , the implementation of prevention and awareness programs on risk factors in the female population and also the implementation of screening programs in high risk populations is very impostant .
