چکیده مقاله:

Introduction & Aim: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the world. The SHBG gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 17 and contains 8 exons. The globulin carries them in blood to the target cells by binding to sex hormones. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between SHBG polymorphism G247E and breast cancer in women. Materials and Method: Our study consisted of 70 blood samples in women with breast cancer from Uromia Omid Hospital and 80 blood samples from healthy women. DNA extraction using salt ethanol sedimentation method was used and to propagate the desired sequence of The PCR-RFLP method was used to analyze the data using SPSS V.24 and t-test. Results: The mean age of subjects was 54 ± 1 years for the control group and 49 ± 4 for the control group. The results showed that the prevalence of homozygous genotypes was 47% more than homozygous and heterozygous (OR = 5.17 CL = 95% 1.81-17.04) (P = 0.001). Also, the prevalence of prevalent groups compared to the recessive groups in comparison with the control group was significant (OR = 3.12 CL 95% = 1.19-11.27) (P = 0.001). Also, there was a low correlation between women with contraceptive pills during their lifetime (OR = 1.16 CL, 95% = 1.11-7 / 8) (P = 0.004) Conclusion: According to the results, the frequency of mutation in the genotype of individuals in the patients group is more than that of the control group, which can be used as a pre-factor for identification before the disease.
