چکیده مقاله:
This paper presents an efficient finite volume method for simulation of bedload sedi ment transport within the shallow water domains. The modelling system comprises the shallo water equatio ns for the hydrodynamic behaviour and the Exner equation for the morphodynamic variations. These two syst ems of equations are then solved using a modified Godunov-type wave propagation method based on the splitting strategy. In this method, the Exner equation is first solved and the resulting bed profile update is us ed as a source term for the shallow water equations. To maintain the hyperbolicity of the system, the well-know n Grass bedload transport model is employed. It will be shown that the proposed model provides a very good a greement with analytical or reference solutions even for the Courant number relatively close to 1 for the given test cases.
