چکیده مقاله:

Hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources is of great interest as an alternative to fossil fuels and as a means for power generation via fuel cells [1,2]. Methanol steam reforming is a promising process for the generation of hydrogen [3]. In this work, Cu/KIT-6, CeO2-Cu/KIT-6 catalysts were prepared by impregnation method and a few solvents (ethanol and THF) has been tried in these experiments. Their catalytic activity for methanol steam reforming was investigated at 300 °C. For the catalysts examined, CeO2-Cu/KIT-6 (THF) exhibits the best catalytic performance with methanol conversion of 96.19% and H2 selectivity of 92.85% and the experiments showed that THF is a better solvent for synthesized catalysts. The physical and chemical properties of the as-prepared catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET, FE-SEM.
