چکیده مقاله:

Diabetes is a disease in which the ability of the body to respond to insulin hormone is impaired resulted in high level ofglucose and sugar in the blood. Diabetic foot ulcers are the most complicated consequence due to diabetes in diabeticpatients. Nowadays clinicians and nurses in wound clinics assess the wound by visual system based on its size andcolor. In this manuscript we have proposed an easy to use procedure of wound image processing which has beenimplemented in the MATLAB .This user-friendly algorithm can segment the affected region and cluster it to differentcolor-based classes. Total surface and the area of each cluster can be calculated for evaluating the healing status, independent of acquisition distance. Obtained results of the proposed method imply that fuzzy c-means clusteringtechnique is efficient and will help the doctors to be aware about the wound severity. This procedure can reduce thetime visit and clinicians are able to see the healing status along the time carefully
