Spectral Efficiency Maximization of Three Tier Heterogeneous Network

Achieving high data rates is a challenge in wireless communication. Deploying Device-to-Device (D2D) andfemtocells over existing macrocell networks is an applicable solution. However, the interference caused by this newtechnology should be managed to provide high throughput, low delay, and low cost. In this paper, the interference isreduced by proposing efficient FFR structures. Also the values of transmitted powers are obtained through solvingoptimization problems. The results demonstrate that the FFR structures with optimization problem lead to high systemcapacity in heterogeneous networks.
