In This paper presented an energy-management algorithm based on robust control is implemented to coordinatethe operations of the battery in the microgrid. The microgrid presented here consists of different distributedgeneration (DG) units that are connected to the distribution grid. In DG unit operation, inverters play a vital rolein interfacing energy sources with the grid utility. An effective interfacing can successfully be accomplished byoperating inverters with effective control techniques. A new model predictive control algorithm designed toachieving faster computational time in large power systems by optimizing the steady-state and transient controlproblems. The integration of renewable sources can supplement the generation from the distribution grid.However, these renewable sources are intermittent in their generation and might compromise the reliability andstability of the distribution network. Energy-storage devices, such as batteries and ultra-capacitors, are requiredto compensate for the variability in the renewable sources. Therefore, the incorporation of energy-storagedevices is also critical for managing peak demands and variations in the load demand. So, in this project, amicro grid consisting of a photovoltaic (PV) array, a proton-exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC), and alithium-ion storage battery (SB) is proposed. Robust control methods used in this technique is applied to theswitching inverter connected to the battery input voltage and frequency error is microgrid. Robust control studybased approach has been used in the formation of H_infinity. Assessments made using this method in thecontrol voltage and frequency microgrid scenarios show. The proposed system will be tested usingMATLAB/SIMULINK and the simulation results demonstrate the attractive performance characteristics of theproposed system.
