چکیده مقاله:

Introduction :Neonatal Hypothyroidism (CH) is one of the most common preventable causes of mental retardation that should be diagnosed and treated at the same time to prevent its subsequent complications.Material &Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was performed in the interval of years 1395 to 1397. In this study, all neonates were screened by heel sampling at 3-5 days of age. Then the results were analyzed by appropriate statistical tests. Analyzed and evaluated. Results: In this study, 12206 neonates were screened over three years, of which 6104 were male and 6102 were female. Of the total cases, 39 CH cases were diagnosed as 19 infants were female and 20 were male. The incidence rate is 3.2 per 1000 neonates. Conclusion: According to the findings it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between incidence of CH and gender. Regarding the incidence rate, the city is in accordance with the country incidence model and there is no significant difference. Most of the newborns look normal at birth, which can only be achieved by early screening.
