چکیده مقاله:

One of the most widely used methods for the utilization of wind energy is the use of doubly fed induction generator. The doubly-fed generators are better in the applications of limited-range speed control and large capacity case due to the partially rated inverter, high reliability and lower cost. This study presents two different approaches to control doubly fed induction generator. Two cases of the best and most privileged control methods, direct torque and direct power control are implemented. Control methods were investigated and their performance was analyzed and compared based on the results of the simulation. In addition to, the Grid side iscontrolled by direct power control based on a grid voltage position to obtain a constant DC voltage. The resultsindicate that although direct power control method has no capability of tracking the maximum power point, but due to the reduction of computational complexities, lower dependency on machine parameters, less overall complexity of implementation, improvement of performance in turmoil time and fast dynamic behavior of system, it is more appropriate control method compared to the direct torque control method
