چکیده مقاله:

Nowadays, pipelines have various uses such as water and energy supply systems, communication services. Furthermore, the pipelines are affected by many types of load in various parts of the world. This paper study presents the results of seismic behavior of buried pipeline induced by earthquake. For in this investigation, the Water Conveyance from Zarrine Rood to Tabriz project pipelines were studied. The material nonlinearities associated with pipe-material and soil, and geometric nonlinearity associated seismic loads induced by earthquake were incorporated in the analysis. Selecting of earthquake records were according to seismic zonation of regions. The Geotechnical characteristics of soil were selected according to studies of MahabGhodss Consulting Engineering Co on this project. The result showed the earthquake has more effect on inclined ground paths than straight one. The maximum displacement is 2.219 cm for section 1 and the minimum amount is 0.649 cm for section 5. The maximum stress is 35.6 MPa for section 1 and the minimum amount is 13 MPa for section 5. Because all the stresses are less than yield stress of pipeline so there is no plastic strain and deformation.
