چکیده مقاله:

E-learning is the result of rapid and developing changes cycle of modern technologies. E-learning has eliminated many usual shortcomings of formal education, particularly space and time constraints, and has provided a proper opportunity for transfer of educational information in the context of society’s graduates collective learning. In this study, collective learning process in e-learning environment among elementary students is reviewed. Study findings include the way of collaborative learning and teaching, students’ motivation and interest in using electronic boards, collective competition of the students at the time of working with electronic boards, physical space of the classroom and the way of arrangement of seats. The present study is applied in terms of purpose, the research methodology is quantitative and the data was collected through semi-structured interview with 10 teachers of one of elementary schools in Tehran; data analysis was carried out through content analysis. One of the important results of this study is that e-learning first of all needs teachers’ training. So long as teachers do not acquire required skills and proficiency for using electronic boards, their teaching would not have the required effectiveness. Of course, it seems that teachers should be briefed on the application of this new teaching method before training them and have felt the need for this new method. Besides, students should be trained to do group work while they are at lower levels to be able to accept opposing opinions and failures as a kind of learning; otherwise, students’ group interaction would turn into group opposition which is not useful in practice.
