چکیده مقاله:

This study investigated the decoloration and decomposition of textile wastewaters under continues mode using electron beam irradiation in the presence of ozone. The two of the most commonly used dyes from both the reactive and direct types were tested. Tests were conducted continues-wisely to determine the effects of ozonation and irradiation in decomposing organic compounds. The influences of absorbed doses and initial dye concentration on the decoloration, COD and pH of the solutions in the absence and presence of ozone are described. The experimental results show that concentrations of dyes and dose of irradiation applied to decoloration and COD, were dependent to each other. It is found that pre oxidation, carrying out by adding ozone can increase the irradiation effect and improve the process efficiency. It is concluded that the method of ozonation decomposition combined with electron irradiation was effective than the electron beam irradiation alone.
