چکیده مقاله:

factors and prevention methods of traffic injuries In this article the risk would be discussed in details. The purpose of this study is a comprehensive overview of what is known about magnitude, risk factors and impact of road traffic injuries, and about ways to prevent and lessen the impact of road crashes. The document is the outcome of a collaborative effort by over 100 experts, coordinated by WHO and WB , from all continents and different transport , engineering, health, police, education and civil society. Road sectors-including traffic injuries are a growing public health issue. Every year, more than 1 millions of people are killed in traffic crashes. In Iran more than 22,000 people, mostly young adults (15-44 years) killed just in 2002. Furthermore, road traffic injuries cost low-income and countries between 1%-2% of their gross middle-income have been national product-more than total development aid received by these countries. Road traffic injury prevention must be incorporated into a broad range of activities, such as the development and management of road infrastructure, the provision of safer vehicles, law enforcement, mobility planning, the provision of health and hospital services, child welfare services, and urban and environmental planning .
