چکیده مقاله:

This study examined the effect of Fyke-Net colour on CPUE (number caught perFyke-Net in 24 h) and species composition of fishes in Anzali wetland. We placed 9black, red and blue Fyke-Net (each with 3 replicate) for two month during Octoberand November 2010 in west of the Anzali wetland. In the study, 185 fishes, including3 families and 7 species, were identified and their biometric features were recorded. The species Esox lucius with 88.8% and Vimba vimba persa with 22.2% had thehighest and lowest percentage of catch, respectively. Comparing the results of theaverage CPUE, between the three treatments showed significant differences (F= 8.59;P < 0.05) among the mean CPUE of the traps and red colour had 5.7 specimens perday showing the maximum rate. There was a significant difference among CPUE ofthe traps for the species of E. lucius, Scardinius erythrophthalmus, Silurus glanis andV. vimba persa (P < 0.05). But for species of Tinca tinca, Cyprinus carpio andCarasius auratus no difference was detected in mean CPUE. The results suggest thatcolour of Fyke-Net is a factor influencing the catch rate with E. lucius and S.erythrophthalmus are caught with red Fyke-Net, S. glanis with black Fyke-Net andV. vimba persa with blue Fyke-Net, and color of Fyke-Net can be used to catch thetarget species and reduce the by-catch.
