چکیده مقاله:

Putting traumatic events and the victims of trauma on display often resultsin further damage both to the individuals involved and their social context.Despite this, revealing information remains a necessary step in the healingprocess. This double-edged nature implies that displays intended to harm andterrorize hold the potential to be re-purposed to promote solidarity andhealing, as in the case of the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. The UnitedStates Institute for Peace Special Report Training to Help TraumatizedPopulations states that the healing of traumatized individuals cannot takeplace within a social vacuum, and it is often part of an ongoing socialprocess. Any social process will require interpersonal communication. Evenin cases where the cause of the trauma is well known to all involved, theindividuals involved will be asked, implicitly or explicitly, to disclosesomething of their personal reactions. In this paper we explore howmeaningful healing, insofar as it requires social connection, by the same tokenrequires some level of exposure of the victim. Unfortunately, putting victimson display has often been used to harm rather than heal, becoming the sourceof trauma, not just a testimony to it. From the most severe (e.g., publicexecutions) to the relatively trivial (e.g., posting embarrassing photos online),displays are often employed to intentionally delegitimize and dehumanizetheir subject. Such violations make clear just how mali gnant display can be,and how well-founded is the reluctance on the part of many victims to engagein further self-disclosure. In this paper we will examine the double-edgednature of display, especially as regards the exposure of past trauma.Throughout we will seek answers to some disturbing questions: Can even themost malicious uses of display be repurposed to inspire empathy, or are therelimits to this transformative process What responsibility does this place onwe who are witnesses And most disturbingly: Does this place aresponsibility, an additional burden, on the shoulders of victims to disclosetheir hurt in order to catalyze healing We will then look at those factors thatmitigate or transform potentially harmful displays, redeeming them forhealing purposes. The paper will end with theological and practicalapproaches to promote that transformation.dynamics of centuries old Jirga system’s acceptance in twenty first century, because majority of population in FATA consider this set-up, the only way topreserve cultural values, which provide quick and affordable justice.Concluding, the focus of my study is to evaluate the composition, prerogativeand performance of Jirga system in FATA, especially when it comes todispense justice for inhabitants of this area
