چکیده مقاله:

The use of electric current for treatment of different diseases has been very common in medicine throughout history. Differnent currents do have various applications. Viruses have always been a treath for human health. So using electrical currents for inactivation of viruses has been an everlasting wish for human beings. In this study, the effect of electrical current on herpes simplex virus type1was analyzed. To achieve this goal, the current was adjusted in such away to have appropriate results. The current range from miliamper to microamper was applied. It was revealed that herpes simplex virus type1 was affected by current ranges from 50 to 1000 microamper. The effect of currents depends on length of time and the intensity of currents. Not only did low currents lead to cell survival but also inactivated a large amounts of viruses. Notably, the current length time can also affect the cell viability. In conclusion, the appropriate current in order to inactivate viruses (HSV1) with least effect cell was determined.
