Effectiveness of teaching method based on Blended learning on achievement motivation and academic achievement of elementary school girls’ students

چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching method based on the blended learning on the achievement motivation and academic achievement of girls’ students in elementary schools of Tehran city. The research method was semi experimental in form of pretest- posttest plan with a group of control. The population included all girl students of elementary schools in area 1 of education of Tehran city in academic years 2013-2014. A sample of the study included 58 girl students of elementary school who were selected by multistage cluster sampling method and randomly two sets of 29 subjects were exposed in both of the test and control groups. To measure achievement motivation Hermens’ questionnaire of achievement motivation and for academic achievement, results of a descriptive assessment repertoire of first and second semesters of students were used. To analyze data unilateral covariance statistical tests and Chi square test has been used. The main results indicate that teaching based on the blended learning has a positive effect on the achievement motivation and academic achievement of students, so students in descriptive evaluation repertoire of the second semester had a higher score.
