The use of information technology in the management of medical processes

Introduction: Technology and IT in the past have changed lifestyles in all aspects, including health. The arrival of information technology into the health sector is more productive and brings significant improvements and achievements. Due to the uniqueness of the patient s care process, hospitals face many different coordination challenges and are not yetbenefiting from technology to manage the process. Method: This study is reviewed as a review. The search was conducted in valid internal and foreign bases using the latest articles. Using keywords such as: information technology, treatment process, treatment management. The hospital s information system was conducted in bases such as Medline, Magiran, SID, Iranmedex, and the scientificsearch engine of Google Scholar, which was mined in a number of 50 papers and after reviewing and deleting the repetitive articles, as well as 46 articles for writing this study. Result : The process of treating the patient depends on medical knowledge. The hospital HIS system should be integrated with the support of the information treatment process. Information technology was used in two decision making and clinical processes. The most important issue of supporting IT in clinical technology is reducing computer intermediaries as much as possible due to a shortage of doctors time. Conclusion: Recent developments in the field of technology, including inthe health industry are enough to know and understand the processes, why and how to implement technology. The purpose of technology in the treatment processes is toreduce the workload, improve decision levels.
