چکیده مقاله:

The effects of various degrees of cold-working on the time of static recrystallization (SRX) of pure aluminum sample have been studied. This work gives results of influence of temperature and deformation degree on changes in the recrystallization time of drawn pure aluminum wire. Pure aluminum wire samples were exposed to recrystallized annealing after cold drawing. The determination of required time for full recrystallization of pure aluminum sample that drawn to different degrees of cold-work and then recrystallized by annealing heat treatment. Therefore the rod of pure aluminum was drawn to different degrees of cold work (CW) consist of 25%, 45%, 60% and 75% values and then recrystallized at different annealing temperatures. For this purpose, The annealing heat treatments of cold drawn specimens have been carried out at varying temperatures from 350 ºC to 600 ºC, for different holding time in laboratory conditions. For each combination of deformation conditions and annealing temperature, the static recrystallized volume fraction, as measured by quantitative optical metallography, changes with time following an avrami type of relationship. The critical deformation for the aluminum has been determined with aid of metallographic results. The results show that required time for full recrystallization decreases with increasing of the %CW and annealing temperature. Also when increasing the % CW below critical deformation, the grain size was found to increase; however, the grain size was found to decrease with increasing the % CW above the critical deformation
