Economic corruption is seen more or less in all world countries. Iran also has some challenges with this problem and since short time ago this issue has attracted attentions. Economic crimes are among the greatest ultra-national organized faults, as they have extremely drawn attentions of international criminal organizations because of yielding huge benefits while bearing small threats. Economic corruption has serious effects on the security and stability of national and international communities by degenerating the democratic institutions and values, ethical values and social justice and diminishing the sustainable development and legislative government. This has raised many concerns in the international community, and the economic corruption now is considered as an ultra-national problem affecting all economical, political, social and cultural elements of the societies. Therefore, implementation of governments’ responsibilities and commitments, and international cooperations for preventing this issue seems essential at the time being. This study applies an analytical descriptive method, and the main findings obtained include: - there is a significant relationship between governments’ responsibility and hindering the economic corruption; - some government’s responsibilities against the economic crimes include suitable management of public affairs and government’s properties, reforming the administrative structures, reinforcing the social participation, clarity, responsibility, amenability, improving the educational programs and international cooperations etc.; - the type of the structure and foundations of the government and the current conditions are effective on the increasing or decreasing of economic corruption.
