چکیده مقاله:

Nanobelts are a class of the one dimensional nanostructures and they have a rectangular cross-section and high surface to volume ratio. Nanobelts are prepared from different materials such as metals, metal oxides (for example ZnO[1], Ga2O3[2],etc), semiconductors, organic and inorganic materials (such as AlN[3], etc). Nickel oxide is an important transition metal oxide, with cubic lattice structure (aº= 0.4195 nm), which is well known as an electrode material for alkaline batteries, and they have other applications such as catalysis (for example catalytic activity in the thermal decomposition of Ammonium Perchlorate [4]), gas sensor and etc. NiO nanoparticles exhibit novel and significant mechanical, electronic, magnetic, and optical properties in comparison with their bulk counterparts. The particle structural property such as particle size, distribution, morphology is related to the method of preparation. A few methods on the preparation of NiO nanoparticles were reported such as, molten-salt method [5], water-in-oil microemulsion [6], thermal decomposition of nickel dimethylglyoximate rods and calcination of malate gel. In this work, NiO nanoparticles were prepared by the sol-gel method. Citric acid is used as a ligand and it prevents the close contact of individual particles because of its steric effects. The prepared NiO nanoparticles were used in preparation of Polyaniline (PANI)/NiO nanobelts using Ammonium Persulfate (APS) as oxidant and Sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) as a dopant and soft template. The synthesized NiO nanoparticles and PANI/NiO nanobelts were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infared (FT-IR), scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM) techniques
