چکیده مقاله:

Developing the new materials, especially nanostructure materials have taken a great deal of time and effortduring the past decade. Nano particles have some unique properties due to the small size and high specific surface area, particularly the mesoporous cases. Hence, establishing the techniques to synthesize the porous particles with dimensionsless than micrometer is very important. Many reports have indicated that the size and shape of silica nanoparticles maybe controlled by additives such as electrolytes, surfactants and organic acids etc. This research applies the naturalsurfactants to synthesize the nano-size silica particles through the sol-gel method. Surface active molecules derived fromthe natural origins benefit of several advantages such as biocompatibility and biodegradability comparing to theirchemical counterparts and they can be produced at very low cost from renewable origins. Nanoparticle synthesis wasapproved through the UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV/DRS) and Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) andcompared with standard silicium dioxide. Furthermore, morphology characterization of nanoparticles by transmissionelectron microscopy (TEM) indicated that SiO2 particles were nanospheres with a diameter of 50-70nm.
