چکیده مقاله:

Gold nano-particles were synthesised based on Turkevich method. Nano-particles properties were evaluatedusing UV-VIS spectrophotometer and DLS. The nano-particles were functionalized with 11mercaptoundecanoic acid. The ligand bound to the gold through its thiol (-SH end). The coverage and binding strength of the surfactant on the goldsurface were studied using FTIR spectroscopy. The mean size of the nano-particles was studied by means of DLSanalysis. To investigate the colloidal and pH stability of the nano-particles, UV-VIS spectrophotometer method was used.FESEM observations carried out in order to study the formation of core-shell of the functionalized nano-particles. TheDLS results revealed that the mean size of gold nano-particles and functionalized nano-particles were 11.2 nm and 13.2nm, respectively. According to UV-VIS spectrophotometer, the extinction spectrum of gold nano-particles wasmaximized at 520 nm. The pH stability study showed that the functionalized nano-particles were stable for pH>4. Overall, the procedure having suggested in the current study was proved an acceptable method for synthesis and surfacemodification of gold nano-particles with LSPR biosensor application.
