چکیده مقاله:

By mixing functionalized Nano titanium dioxide as inorganic substances with polysulfone (PSF) membrane,an extraordinary ability to separate CO2 was developed in this study. A series of amine-functionalized-nanoTiO2 /PSFmixed matrix membrane with various content of F-nanoTiO2 (0-10 wt%) were prepared by solution casting method.Detailed characterizations, morphology, have been conducted to understand the structures of mixed matrix membranes. The effects of F-nanoTiO2 loading on the gas separation (O2, N2, CO2) performance of the MMMs were evaluated usinglaboratory-scale gas separation apparatus. The MMMs exhibited higher CO2 permeability as compared with the neat PSFand TiO2/PSF membrane due to higher interaction of amine groups on F-nano TiO2 with CO2. The permeationmeasurement showed that CO2 permeability of about 3 (GPU) for MMM with 10 wt% loading of F-nano TiO2. As aresult, the developed membranes can be efficient for separating CO2 from N2.
