چکیده مقاله:

The sol‐gel and impregnation methods were applied to prepare Ni/ZrO2(25%)‐MgO(75%) nanocatalysts inorder to evaluate the effect of synthesis method on the performance of catalyst in the oxidative dehydrogenation ofethane. All changes due to different methods were studied. The obtained catalysts characterized by XRD, BET, FESEM,EDX dot‐ mapping analysis. The characterization results demonstrated the priority of sol‐gel in comparison toimpregnation method. FESEM results of the synthesized sol‐gel catalyst presented a good surface morphology for thecatalyst; small particle size observed in these images refers to nanosized synthesized catalyst via sol‐gel method. EDXimages depicted a more uniform dispersion for components produced from the sol‐gel method. Finally, the positiveeffect of synthesis method on catalytic performance of synthesized catalysts got clear by performing catalytically testsfor ODHE. 58.8% yield for ethylene was obtained for the catalyst prepared via sol‐gel which improved compared toimpregnation one.
