Mixture effect of solvent and surfactant on optical properties and morphology of ZnO thin films

ZnO nanocrystalline thin films have been prepared on glass substrates by sol–gel spin coating method. Inorder To investigate the mixture effect of solvent and surfactant, three different mixtures were prepared: 2-methoxyethanol + MEA , Isopropanol + DEA and ethanol + TEA , then synthesis of ZnO nanostructures by sol- gel method, spin coating on glass substrates and thermal treatment were done in the equal conditions. Optical and Morphological properties of thin films and size of nanostructures were studied by UV-Vis, AFM and PH metery- Results show that despite using different materials which can cause different effects, all three mixtures will produce similar properties.
