An Introduction to architectural style known as Razi in Islamic Period in Iran The formation, features, monuments

The rise of Islam in the seventh century (AD), transformed the very foundation of old civilized nations, its power and influence in Western Turkestan and Punjab on the one hand and Spain and North Africa, on theother hand was developed. In the meantime, Iran was not an exception. With the advent of Islam in Irangreat changes have appeared widely in the country, and architecture was also affected by the changes. Arrival of Islam in the country raised the need to build structures with new application. To overcome theneed, new practices and methods were formed in architecture, which were divided into four main styles:Khorasani, Razi, Azeri and Isfahani styles. This article aims to study second one after Islam, which is Razi style. It’s aimed to discuss the formation of this style, architectural features and monuments of this style
