چکیده مقاله:
Attention to the art and supporting talented and mighty artists have a long history in ancient Persia and art and artist have had privileged position among Iranians. Drawing various designs on potteries and the walls of caves in the pre-history era shows the importance of the art among the people of this country. Over time and with the mergence of other industries, Iranians had begun the creation of new arts and created beauty hand- made things with the support of local authorities which had a lot of demand among other countries and territories. In the Islamic era and particularly the Timurid period based on historical documents, most of Timurid kings including Timur and Shahrukh to Baysonqor Mirza and Shah Sultan Husayn Mirza, all had been lovers of art and patron of knowledge and culture and always artists and poets had a privileged status in the court of them. During this period, artists such as painter Abdul Baghdadi, calligrapher Moein Din Tabrizi, painter Maulana Khalil, painter Ghiyasuddin, Kamal al-Din Behzad and others had an important role in the development of miniature.This study attempted besides addressing the role of the Timurid dynasty in support of the artists and craftsmen of this period consider and examine miniature features of this period.
