Sociological View of TV Effects on the Iranian Youths' Emigration Based on Pushing and Pulling Factors

This research aims to show how IRIB-STCPLS38 and STCPPL39 as two Persian TV channels persuade Iranian youths to emigration based on push and pull theory's factors. One of a social reality in each society is emigration, and lee theory expresses that when it happen that push and pull factors in a society are seen. Television is important to persuade youths who watching push and pull factors via. This research assumes that both IRIB-STCPLS and STCPPL persuade and/or prevent Iranian youths to emigration through push and pull factor. Statistical society is Iranian youths, and the sample size is 1068 young people, and selected by stratified random sampling method. The data were collected by the questionnaire, and analyzed by descriptive and analytic methods through SPSS. The research findings show that IRIB-STCPLS persuade youths emigrating to cities, and STCPPL to outside of Iran; Youths watching TV programs more than 4 hours a day to be interested in pull factors; The push and pull factors in are shown in forms of social institutions particularly economic, family, and educational institutions; They are seen in entertainment programs rather than other program; showing conflict, critical, and cheerful programs are important in emigration.
