The application of Value engineering in optimization of railway projects construction management

Value Engineering plays an important role in the construction management of Railway projects. Although various investigations have been made for the evaluation of the effects of value engineering in reduction of cost and time in engineering projects, little effort has been made for the development of theoretical model for the application of Value Engineering in Optimization of Railway projects Construction Management. On the basis of the Value Engineering techniques, it has been tried to develop different analytical methods for maximizing the relationship between performance enjoyed and the costs of a railway infrastructure investment.
