Optimum Allocation of Distributed Generation Based on Nodal Pricing with Anarchic Society Optimization

The increased use of Distributed Generations (DGs) in distribution network has changed its characteristics from passive to active. This paper presents new methodology to calculate theoptimal size and to identify the corresponding optimum location for DG placement based on nodal pricing using the AnarchicSociety Optimization (ASO) algorithm which is inspired by a social grouping in which members behave anarchically toimprove their situation for profit maximizing and loss reduction.The proposed methodology is tested in a 33 nodes radial distribution test feeder to illustrate its effectiveness that of the other heuristics methods in the literature.
