چکیده مقاله:

Health tourism is one of the most important branches of tourism industry. Many countries to absorb economic and social benefits of this type of activity Tourism wide have done. Iran, as a tourist destination are its ability to become a health tourism hub .Having competitive power in the Persian Gulf area has made scientific planning essential for sustainable development of health tourism. This development should include a balance between environment, culture and economy. This research aimed to identify and develop strategies for Health Tourism Development in the Persian Gulf area, with emphasis on designing Thalassotherapy Centers. Methodology used in this paper is descriptive – analytical and the necessary information and data has been collected through field observation, interviews and studying the projects conducted with regards to Coastal area of the Persian Gulf area. In this research with the use of the collected information and data four alternatives of the important ports of this Gulf has been selected among the different regions of the Persian Gulf area and then for selecting the superior alternative different weights has been allocated to important criteria and finally with the help of Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) model the appropriate location for constructing new recreation tourist and medical centers have been recommended.
