چکیده مقاله:

The aim of this paper is to introduce stages to have an effective daylighting design of libraries in sunny skies like Iran. Daylighting design becomes much more complex in Iran with predominately clear and sunny sky, since the clear sky is much more changeable and dynamic with the influence of direct sunlight. In fact, Iran does have more difficulty with controlling daylight rather than availability of daylight. On the other hand, building design aspects can be greatly influenced by daylighting analysis which are climate and the context, building form, configuration of daylighting spaces, rooms and windows and daylighting control. Results show that an integration of daylighting and architecture is required from an early phase of architectural design which is deciding on site, obstructions and orientations to the last phases of designing which are deciding on materials and reflectivity of surfaces.Key words: Daylighting Design, Libraries,
