Structural behavior comparison on some of the most famous Iranian traditional Architectural arches

It is very common, to use curved form instead of plain form for roof , In Traditional Iranian architecture, Whereas the variety of arches are too much. It is clear that using curved form lead to lose weight , So arch form has a specific role in structure . In this study, the parameters of structural behavior of a few of the famous arches, under selfweight, are compared with each other. At last, advantages of each form are presented and discussed
