چکیده مقاله:

water is the main resource that sustains all life on earth and is a key element of sustainable development. Sustainable management and development of water resources is the foundation of a green economy and essential for inclusive growth. Through knowing at interdependences among sustainability, development, and water resources, at first we should cast light on their conceptions and after that indicate the relations. This paper presents a few popular basic concepts of sustainability and its application in natural resources use and development. The purpose of this paper is to review to relevant and contrasting views on the role of water resources in sustainable resource use and sustainable development in the light of international conventions and agreements. At the end, the role of water resources in many factors of sustainable development is also discussed.
