چکیده مقاله:

One of the most important methods for the increasing of available water content of plants in sandy soils is, the usage of improved materials such as organic fertilizer, mulch, perlite and torb. In addition to the application of abovementioned improved materials, recently, the usage of water-absorbent hydrogel in agriculture for the maintenance and the increase of water holding capacity in sandy soil has been observed. The objective of this study was to examine the effect of different amounts of Super AB A 200 water-absorbent hydrogel on available water content of plants in sandy loam soils in the conditions of the field. For this purpose, a randomized complete block design was implemented for the six surfaces of the waterabsorbent hydrogel including of 0 (control), 0.05 , 0.15 , 0.3, 0.4.5 and 0.6 weight percentage in three replication and in 18 experimental plots with the dimensions of 1.5 ×1.5 meters. With the software named SPSS the results of the experimental analyses analyzed statistically. The results showed that adding Super AB A 200 water-absorbent hydrogel as well as the increase of the surface of application caused to increase available water content of plant. As the application of the using water-absorbent hydrogel in the surfaces of 0.45 and 0.6 weight percentage caused to increase the amount of the available water content of plant respectively equivalent 1.5 to 2 equals. The results of the statistical analysis (the comparison of means) showed that among the different surfaces of application with together as well as with the control of significant difference in the level of one percentage which exists in the increase of the available water content of plant (P<0. 01). Generally, in accordance with the statistical analysis and in consideration of the economical aspect are recommended that with application 0.45 weight percentage of the Super AB A 200 water-absorbent hydrogel, in addition to the creation of the structure in sandy loam soils we case to increase the potential of the absorption of water of hydrogel and as a result the increase of the amount of water holding capacity for optimum plant growth.
