چکیده مقاله:

Water and electricity are interdependent essential sources in human life that affect socio-economic growth and prosperity. In other words, electricity is a fundamental resource to power a seawater desalination process, while fresh water is used for cooling, heating and power generation facilities. Hence, optimal short-term coscheduling of combined water treatment, heating processesand power productions is attracting world attention due to major concern about serious environmental problems and water-energy crisis. Hence, this paper aims to present a day-ahead economic dispatch framework for integrated fresh water, heating and electricity generation grids. A mixed integer non-linear programming problem is solvedunder general algebraic modeling system (GAMS) softwarepackage using BARON tool to minimize total water treatment cost of water only units and water-power coproducers, total fuel cost of power only plants and waterpower co-generators, total operation cost of heat only units and combined heat and power producers taking into account of all operational constraints of water, heating and power only and cogeneration units
