چکیده مقاله:

One method for producing metal matrix composites (MMC) which has several benefits and low production price is accumulative roll bonding (ARB). In the present study, a multilayer AL-Cu-Zn-Al composite was produced through accumulative roll bonding (ARB) up to 01 cycles. Mechanical properties of the composites were analyzed by using the tensile test. Results showed that the composite strength, at first increases, then will decrease in the fourth cycle and after that will increase again. In the tenth cycle, the strength increased up to 0.1 times higher than the first cycle. From XRD patterns, it is obvious that after the fourth cycle, the intermetallic CuZn5 compound was formed and also from SEM images, the necking of copper layers began after the fourth cycle.
