چکیده مقاله:
Recently electrical industries have developed remarkably and demands for electrically conductive materials used in electric transmission purposes is increasing compared to the past. Thermal resistant aluminum alloys (TAL) are a group of aluminum alloys that have the ability to work at high temperatures (at least 150ºC) without significantly reducing strength and electrical conductivity, so they are acceptable to use in electrical distribution and transmission lines. Because of this capability, these types of alloys are used for increasing transmission lines capacity. The investigated TAL alloy (AT1 according to IEC 60224) has Zr element less than 0.1 wt. % and further with ordinary impurities and aluminum. In order of melting, casting, hot rolling, cold working, and ageing at low temperatures (if required) the Al3Zr must be dispersed uniformly in the form of fine particles. The resultant aluminum alloy has higher conductivity rather than 60 IACS alloy, same strength like 1350 aluminum wire and thermal resistance without losing strength more than 10% at least in a temperature of 150 ºC.
