Performance and Efficiency Analysis of Academic Colleges:A Network DEA Approach

Universities play an important role in the development of a country in this age of the knowledge economy. As government subsidies to universities have been reducing in recent years, the more efficient use of resources and the more academic performances have become important issues for university top administrators, policy makers and Government. This paper develops a new network- DEA (NDEA) structure to assess the relative efficiency of the colleges of Alzahra University in Iran. Our investigations are focused on the efficiency of academic performance and the resource utilizations manifested in teaching performance.
