چکیده مقاله:
in this paper the effect of mechanical clamping during plastic deformation on reduction of welding distortions and residual stresses is investigated . To do this the SUS304 stainless steel pipe is tested and analyzed then by FE method the results obtained from simulation are in good agreement with experimental works it was found that when the pipe is fully clamped internally and welding was performed hoop and axial residual stresses and distortions decreasesd after pipe cooling the out -of -roundness ovality of the pipe section was also reduced it has been shown that the final residual stresses and distortions depend strongly on the clamping condistions of the test material.
