In the present study, simple and low-cost method has been suggested to create micro-nanostructure superhydrophobic on severe plastic deformed samples of aluminum alloy. Aluminum alloysamples were processed 0, 1, and passes of TCP process. The metallographic analyze wasperformed on severe plastic deformed samples after SPD process. It was found that increasing thenumber of passes reduces the intermetallic particles in the structure of the matrix. The water contactangles were measured. The water contact angle for all samples was at least 165°. It was concludedthat, according to the Cassie-Baxter theory, part of the superhydrophobic surface is in contact withwater droplets, is formed from the air.
