چکیده مقاله:

experience at international knowledge-based organizations indicates that application of traditional quality management models including conventional business excellence models in these organizations is often inffective . What issteasd required are models that consider an integrated view of quality and knowledge. during the past few years there have been efforts to relate knowledge to businvess excellence models like EFQM model.nevertheless , the review of current literature reveals that there is no one common application of these models for knowledge-intensive organizations. the objective of this paper is to propose an adjusted business excellence model for knowledge based organizations. the research methodology is based on the european foundation for quality management EFQM method for developing the EFQM framework for knowledge management. the major contribution of this paper is to categorize knowledge -based organization main characteristics , according to EFQM model criteria. this approach is supplemented by individual interview with quality and knowledge mangement experts.
