Investigation of the Effect of Precipitant to Oil Ratio Changes on the Amount of Asphaltene Precipitation

Asphaltene deposition is quite an important aspect for petroleum engineers since it causes a lot of problems in some wells and well head facilities during normal production and in the petroleum reservoirs during gas injection. These kinds of problems are common in some of Iranian oil fields also. During this project an apparatus was going to be setup and calibrated at first step and then to conduct different experiments on it, one of which is to investigate the effect of volumetric alkane(precipitant) to oil ratio changes on the amount of asphaltene precipitation, for a given oil sample from west of Iran oil field
